Frequency of using social media links to get online news in Canada 2023, by age group

A total of 22 percent of Canadians accessed online news every day by clicking on a link found on social media, according to a summer 2023 survey. A further 52 percent got online news this way two to six days a week. Should news no longer be available on certain social media sites, these younger consumers must turn elsewhere.
