Paying online news subscribers in Canada 2023

According to a survey held in June 2023, the lion's share of Canadians did not pay for online news via a subscription. A total of 85 percent said they did not, and just 10 percent had one online news subscription. Only a fraction had three or more. Paying for news in Canada is not yet commonplace, with many (especially younger) consumers relying on free news available on social networks.
