According to a July 2023 study of mobile iOS users in the United States, 66 percent of respondents who shared a video on TikTok were browsing the platform's content before performing the action. Additionally, 12 percent of respondents liked a video in the six minutes before sharing content on TikTok. Only one percent of respondents engaged with a web page or a YouTube video in the six minutes leading to the action of sharing content on TikTok.
