The rehabilitation of single-family housing was the most frequently funded housing assistance activity under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the United States in 2022. Nearly 32,000 households received assistance for single-family housing rehabilitation. The CDBG is a federal program that provides funds to strengthen communities through housing, improving the living environment, and economic opportunities. Since 2005, CDBG housing assistance has significantly declined.
