The number of households that have received housing assistance through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program experienced a dramatic decline between 2005 and 2022. The CDBG is a federal program that provides funds to strengthen communities through housing, improving the living environment, and economic opportunities. In 2022, over 60,000 households benefitted from housing assistance through CDBG funded activities, including rehabilitation, modernization, housing services, and energy efficiency improvements, among others.
