Based on a study conducted in Nigeria in 2023, out of respondents who reported having an ITN (insecticide treated net) and not sleeping under it, 26 percent reported that they would not do so because of the hot weather,
while 14 percent reported that their house was well-netted. On the other hand, five percent reported that they would not sleep under the ITN because they just do not like it.
An ITN (insecticide treated net) is typically used to help decrease malaria illness, and extreme sickness, and death in an endemic region.
