As of 2023, almost 60 percent of Gen Z stated in a survey that they did not take environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) into consideration when focusing on their portfolio. Millennials had the lowest number of retail investors surveyed to note they did not place an emphasis on ESG within their portfolio.
