Frequency of malaria treatment in Nigeria 2023

In a study conducted in Nigeria in 2023, 34 percent of respondents reported that they got treated for malaria every two months, while 28 percent of respondents revealed they got treated for malaria twice a year. On the other hand, only five percent of the respondents considered that they got treated for malaria every month.

Malaria is a dangerous disease transmitted to humans by certain mosquitoes that bear the malaria parasite. In 2020, Nigeria registered some 21.6 million cases of malaria.
