The United States had roughly 42 megawatts of installed offshore wind capacity as of end of 2023. By 2029, it is forecast that the North American country will reach an offshore capacity of approximately 17 gigawatts. As of 2024, there were more than 40 gigawatts in the U.S. offshore wind pipeline.
