In 2021, China had the highest number of passengers carried by air transport in the Asia-Pacific region with over 440 million passengers, followed by India with approximately 84 million passengers. On the contrary, Bhutan had a lower number of passengers carried by air transport, reaching over 2.2 million people in the same year.
