As of 2022, the United States accounted for seven percent of the global installed manufacturing capacity for batteries. If all globally announced projects materialized, this share would increase to 15 percent by 2030. Meanwhile, the U.S. accounted for 25 percent of global heat pumps manufacturing capacity in 2022. However, this share could drop to below 20 percent by 2030 if all announced projects came to fruition.
