According to a study conducted in 2023, half of the respondents in Nigeria reported that they or a member of their household had been treated for malaria in the three preceding months.
Malaria is a dangerous disease transmitted to humans by certain mosquitoes that bear the malaria parasite. In 2020, Nigeria registered some 21.6 million cases of malaria.
