According to a study conducted in 2023, 91 percent of respondents in Nigeria reported that they viewed malaria as one of the most worrisome health challenges, while six percent reported that it was not. Three percent of respondents reported that they did not know.
Malaria is a dangerous disease caused by a parasite that usually infects a certain type of mosquito, which in turn affects humans. In 2020, Nigeria registered some 21.6 million cases of malaria.
