Opinions whether removal of fuel subsidy Nigeria was worth the impact 2023, by region

Based on a survey conducted in 2023, 63 percent of respondents in the Nigerian South South geo-political zone reported that they did not think that the fuel subsidy removal decision taken by the Nigerian federal government was worth the impact, while 37 percent of respondents in this zone reported that they believed that this decision was worth it. On the other hand, 79 percent of respondents in the South East region believed the decision was not worth the impact, while 21 percent of respondents in this zone thought it was worth it.
