Opinions on the removal of fuel subsidy in Nigeria 2023, by region

Based on a survey conducted in 2023, the majority of respondents in almost every region in Nigeria reported that they approved of the fuel subsidy removal decision taken by the Nigerian federal government. The only exception was the South East geo-political zone, with 25 percent confirming their support, while 75 percent opposed this decision.
