As of July 2023, 17 percent of X (formerly Twitter) users in the United Kingdom aged 18 to 24 years reported using the service multiple times per day, compared to 13 percent of users aged 25 to 49 years. Overall, six perecnt of users aged 18 to 24 used the accessed the platform monthly. Elon Musk, the world’s richest person, bought the micro-blogging service in October 2022 and rebranded the platform in the months following the acquisition.
