In a survey conducted in July 2023 among consumers in Australia regarding sustainable fashion, just over 20 percent of respondents claimed that environmental sustainability and brand ethics was among their top three considerations when shopping for fashion items. Price was the leading factor considered among Australia's fashion shoppers when making a purchase, followed by the fit and size of the clothing item. Only about nine percent of those surveyed stated that fashion trends were in the top three factors that impacted their clothing purchasing decisions.
