Characters were mentioned by almost half of the respondents. The survey also showed that 59 percent of the respondents make their decision by the first episode.

*The total number of respondents was 2,406. Of the total number, only those respondents who had previously stated that they had ever watched television anime were regarded for this survey question. People who had watched television anime made up 81.5 percent of the total number of respondents.
