Quarterly operating margin of Western Union 2009-2024

Western Union's operating margin decreased by two percentage points in Q2 2024, when compared to the same quarter a year before. The money transfer company lost revenue, and invested money in a new technology and marketing strategy called “Evolve 2025”. Remittances – cross-border money transfers, typically from migrants to family and friends back home – are forecast to keep growing after 2022 but at a slower pace than before.
