In 2022, around 100.7 million households in Western Europe subscribed to over-the-top services, such as Netflix and Disney+, while the North American OTT market recorded almost 104 million subscribing households. However, the number of homes subscribing to at least one OTT service in Western Europe was projected to surpass North America (U.S. and Canada) in 2025, as indicated by recent research. Additionally, it was forecast that North America's contribution to global revenue will drop below 50 percent by 2024.
