There are currently 16 DAC facilities in advanced development or under construction worldwide. Should all these projects go ahead, DAC deployment would reach around 4.7 MtCO₂ per year by 2030. However, to get on track with the Net Zero Emissions by 2050 scenario, DAC deployment will need to reach 75 MtCO₂ per year by 2030.
