Incidences of chickenpox among children and teenagers in Germany 2013-2024, by age

In 2023, there were almost 170 cases of chickenpox per 1,000 residents aged between five and nine years old. Figures dropped drastically after 2019 due to the pandemic and children having reduced contact with one another, however 2023 saw a spike.
