Public support for carbon pricing as a climate change mitigation policy varied considerably across countries around the world. According to a survey in 2022, most of the countries in the Asia-Pacific region were in support of such mitigation policy, with support rates of more than 50 percent in most cases. On the other hand, European countries reported the lowest support rates, with only 29 percent of the respondents in Germany and Poland in favor of the policy.
