In 2022, sport-utility vehicles were the best-selling light passenger vehicle segment in Mexico. At nearly 238,900 sales, subcompact cars were second in the ranking, followed by compact cars. Despite their popularity, sport-utility vehicles are forecast to be the second segment with the largest share of the passenger car market revenue in Mexico in 2027.
