In financial year 2025, Telangana in India allocated the largest portion of its budget expenditure to agriculture, accounting for approximately 20 percent of the state's total budget. Chhattisgarh followed closely, with agriculture receiving approximately 16 percent of the state's total budget. On an average, states are estimated to spend 6.3 percent of their budget on agriculture
