A survey conducted in 2023 revealed that the leading personal care treatment or procedure engaged in among Australian consumers was hair appointments, with around 46 percent of female respondents and 22 percent of male respondents indicating they had had a hair appointment in the 12 months to August 2023. Overall, women had more personal care treatments or procedures than men during the survey period, with just shy of 75 percent of men indicating they had not done any of the personal care treatments or procedures included in the survey in the last year.
