Between 2017 and 2022, the transport and storage sectors' share of Germany's gross national product remained relatively steady, at an average share of around 4.7 percent. The largest share of GDP was in 2022, when the sector had a share of 5 percent, the first time the sectors' share reached that level since 2017. The lowest recorded value was in 2019, with only 4.79 percent of Germany's gross national product being contributed by the sector.
