A survey conducted in Japan in July 2023 showed that 48.6 percent of boys and 40 percent of girls aged 15 to 19 years old were to varying degrees inclined to use the microblogging service Threads, which was released by Meta Platforms, Inc. during that month. This age group had the highest share of people who were interested in using the service, while people in their sixties were the least interested in it.
