Sales value of pharma laboratories in Colombia 2019-2022
Sales value of pharmaceutical laboratories in Colombia amounted to 19 billion Colombian pesos in 2022. That is equivalent to approximately 3.9 million U.S. dollars as of December 2022. This figure increased by nearly 14 percent in comparison to 2021 and by 46 percent in comparison to 2020. However, sales of pharma laboratories in the South American country have not yet reached the value of 22 billion Colombian pesos achieved in 2019, before the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, nearly 28,000 people were employed in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector in Colombia.
