Participation rate in fashion summer sale in Japan 2023

Only one in three consumers in Japan had plans to shop for apparel during the summer sale, as revealed in a survey conducted in July 2023. While 11 percent of respondents stated that they had already bought apparel during the current summer sale, almost 19 percent had not made any purchases but were planning to make use of the discount period.
