Share of slum households Indonesia 2023, by province
As of 2023, Papua had the highest prevalence of slum households among the other provinces in Indonesia, reaching a share of nearly 38 percent. This could be attributed to factors such as limitations on infrastructure and economic development in the region. Four other provinces reported more than ten percent of households living in poor housing conditions, including East Nusa Tenggara, Jakarta, Bangka Belitung Islands, and West Java.
