Antarctica and Greenland account for most of the glacial ice worldwide. While approximately 91 percent of the world's glaciers are located in Antarctica, an additional eight percent are found in Greenland. In terms of area, the Antarctic and Sub-Antarctic glaciers cover approximately 387,756 square kilometers.
