Video streaming has experienced rising popularity among U.S. TV households over the past couple of years, increasing to over 53 percent of viewing time in the second quarter of 2023. By contrast, the share of traditional pay TV viewing time declined from around 47 percent in the second quarter of 2021 to 37 percent two years later.
