During a 2023 survey, 18.6 percent of responding app users stated that they remembered encountering reward video ads that prompted them to either buy something or watch an ad video to unlock a level or prize. The most popular ad type were instream ads that appeared in between a video but allowed skipping the ad after a few seconds, mentioned by 85.2 percent of respondents.
