Share of consumers researching prescribed medication on social media worldwide 2023
Globally, one in five consumers researched online reviews and ratings on social media platforms before purchasing prescribed medication in 2023. Consumers in the United Arab States researched these products the most on social media, with nearly three out of ten consumers. Similarly, around 28 percent of shoppers in the Asia-Pacific region turned to social media before buying medications.
