In July 2023, a survey was conducted to determine the frequency with which adults in the United States placed bets on sports through online betting apps/websites or casinos. The majority of respondents, 53.5 percent, stated that they had not placed a bet in the past 12 months. Meanwhile, 16.4 percent of respondents stated that they placed bets a few times a week.
