The gross written premiums of insurance companies fluctuated over the last few years in Hungary. Life insurance companies' gross written premiums peaked in the second quarter of 2022 at around 193 billion forints. Non-life insurance companies' gross written premiums peaked in the first quarter of 2023 at 270.5 billion forints and decreased to 214 billion a quarter later.
