According to a patient outcome survey conducted between 2017 and 2021, about 90 percent of patients who underwent a carpal tunnel release with an immersive virtual reality experience reported overall satisfaction. Furthermore, almost four fifths said the use of VR during the surgery helped with anxiety reduction.
