A survey from 2023 found that around two in three video-on-demand payers worldwide would accept ads in exchange for a lower-cost TV or video streaming subscription. The countries with the highest shares of consumers who were willing to watch ads were Nigeria and India, while Norway and Switzerland were among the markets with the smallest acceptance rates.
