COVID-19 vaccine third booster shot rate in Italy November 2023, by age group

As of November, 2023, about 85 percent of the total population in Italy had completed the regular vaccination cycle for COVID-19, having received two shots. In spring 2022, Italian authorities started administering a second booster shot of COVID-19 vaccines to the population in order to improve general protection against the virus. In the age group 80+, the one most vulnerable to the virus, almost 6.3 percent of the individuals had received a second booster shot as of October 2023.
