The retail sales value for rural India was the highest, valued at 530 billion U.S. dollars. In comparison, tier-2 and tier-3 centers had a retail sales value of 195 billion dollars. Additionally, tier-2 and tier-3 cities will slowly become the major growth drivers of the retail sector due to change in consumer preferences and increase in household income.
