According to results from a 2022 survey, a household's annual gross income influenced UK consumers' intention to purchase a hybrid or electric vehicle. Some 65 percent of respondents self-reporting as from an upper-class household intended on purchasing a new energy vehicle. This share dropped to 47 and 45 percent for middle class and underprivileged respondents, respectively.
