Number of students in seminaries for women in Israel 2018-2022
There were 7,439 students enrolled in seminaries for women in Israel in the school year of 2021/22. This was a slight increase in the number of students compared to the previous school year of 2020/21. The number of students enrolled in these type of Jewish educational institutions in the country overall grew by over 30 percent in the period under review.
Women's seminaries, or midrasha, are Jewish educational institutions for female students who wish to study Torah. The seminaries can be thought of as the equivalent of a yeshiva for men.
