Get in touch with us nowNordic Semiconductor's revenue, as a company in the rapidly expanding semiconductors industry, was primarily derived from its consumer tech segment. That segment accounted for over 56 percent of the company's revenue in 2023. Industrial tech was strong, accounting for a quarter of revenue. From 2022 to 2023 the healthcare segment more than doubled in value, with both consumer and industry taking a dip in share of revenue instead.
The revenue of Nordic Semiconductors has grown considerably since 2017 when it amounted to just over 235 million U.S. dollars. This remained stable until 2020 when the impact of Covid-19 relief packages, focus on work from home, and increased digitization of society propelled the company’s revenue to over 400 million U.S. dollars. This has since jumped again and remained higher than 500 million U.S. dollars from 2021 through 2023.
Nordic Semiconductors has offices around the world, with the largest portion of its employees being located, aptly, in the Nordic region. There, in Norway and Finland, Nordic Semiconductors has some 950 employees. A further 15 percent of its workforce is found in other European countries, the largest of which are Poland and the United Kingdom.
