As of the third quarter of 2022, around 20 percent of the Egyptian population used the internet to listen to music through music streaming services. Furthermore, close to 15 percent listened to online radio shows, while a slightly lower share (nearly 14 percent) tuned into podcasts each week. A further 12.5 percent listened to audiobooks through the internet on a weekly basis.
