The number of outbound business trips from Canada roughly tripled in 2022 compared to the previous year, following a sharp drop with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Despite the significant annual increase, outbound trips made by Canadian residents for work-related purposes remained below pre-pandemic levels, reaching around 332 thousand in 2022.
