Despite a slight decline in its financial assets, Deutsche Bundesbank remained the largest central bank in Europe in 2023, with assets valued at approximately 2.5 trillion euros. The Bank of France followed, holding assets totaling 1.6 trillion euros. The Bank of Italy ranked third, while the Bank of England also reported over one trillion euros in assets at the end of 2023.
