Wallets made up more than half of all payments value in e-commerce in China and India, significantly outpacing Europe or the United States. This trend can be seen in general: Asia-Pacific uses wallets noticeable more than other parts of the world. This is fueled in part by domestic wallets, including PhonePe in India or Alipay in China. European countries tend to rely on PayPal, with Apple Pay and Google Pay largely being option for mobile proximity payments in an offline POS environment.
