As of 2022, South Africans who were emigrating, or were planning to emigrate through the assistance of the New World Immigration organization, were mostly male with a share of 64 percent. On the other hand, women accounted for just over half of this, with 36 percent. There are various reasons why these respondents wanted to emigrate, however safety and security was listed as the number one concern.

The source notes that inquiries about emigration are being made from all racial groups with a diverse range of skills. Qualified professions such as accountants, dentists, and teachers, account for the majority of applications. Whereas, the rest come from farmers, tradesmen, fitters and turners, plumbers, electricians, and specialized welders.
