In the first half of 2023, businesses in non-store retail received the highest number of consumer complaints and bad reviews posted online on average in Japan. While almost five complaints posted on SNS and other online channels were directed at a non-store retailer engaged in mail-order retail, a railroad business received only 1.43 negative evaluations on average during the first half of the year.
